Our God-story & Mission

Originally founded in 2017 as the teaching ministry Jamie Coles Burnette Ministries (JCBM), in 2022 God stirred the hearts of our lead pastors, Elliot and Jamie Burnette, to rename and reshape JCBM to be in alignment with their calling to journey with God’s people in understanding what it means to live in wholeness according to 3 John 2 and Hebrews 4:9-11. The name Soul Sabbath Ministries originated from the online ministry expression of JCBM, the broadcast known as “Soul Sabbath Live”.  

 Our mission at Soul Sabbath Ministries is to "invite, pour, build”  by:  

1. Inviting people to learn more deeply about God.   

2. Pouring God's knowledge, wisdom, revelation, and healing into places of brokenness and longing.  

3. Journeying with people in building abundant, Christ-centered lives.  

At Soul Sabbath Ministries, we ascribe to the tenets of the Apostles’ and Nicene Creeds which are some of the oldest expressions of Christian belief (Use these links to view the Apostles' Creed and the Nicene Creed.). 

Beyond these basic tenets, we maintain that exploring belief about God and life with God is a continual journey best walked out in a covenant faith community where one is free to regularly dialog and wonder in a safe space.
